Aseem Munshi

Founder and CEO, Updraft

edit

Aseem Munshi is the Founder and CEO of Updraft, a UK-based, FCA regulated credit app built by a team focused on helping people move forward with their money.

Before founding Updraft, Aseem spent over 14 years in banking, including leading HSBC’s UK credit card and unsecured lending business. That experience, combined with the expertise of the wider Updraft team, shaped a shared belief that traditional credit often works against people when they need it most.

Updraft was created to offer a better alternative. Together, the team set out to build a clearer, fairer approach to credit – one that supports progress, confidence and real-life decision making, rather than keeping people trapped in long-term debt.

Under Aseem’s leadership, Updraft brings together specialists across credit, technology, data and customer support. The team combines open banking, credit data and behavioural insight to help customers take control of credit card debt and move forward with clarity.

Aseem and the Updraft team believe credit should work around real life, not perfect finances – and that progress is always more important than perfection.
